Crawford council approves payroll but withholds one paycheck for Tom Phillips

The Crawford City Council approved its payroll at a special meeting on Aug. 20, 2024, but voted to withhold one paycheck for Tom Phillips.
Council President April Grant moved "to approve with the exception of paycheck for Tom Phillips," and Council Member Christopher Dean seconded the motion, according to the meeting minutes. The roll-call vote was recorded as AYE: Grant, Dean; NAY: Mayor Shane Norman, and the motion carried.
The meeting convened at 6:00 p.m. at the Crawford Public Library. City Clerk Julia Butler noted that notice of the meeting had been published in The Crawford Clipper/Harrison Sun and that a copy of the Open Meetings Act was posted and available to the public. The meeting adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
