Assistant Chief Rizzo summarized the limited set of articles opened this cycle and described operational changes approved in the amendment: "Minimum staffing changes in the agreement include an increase from 39 members to 41 members per shift," he said, and the package includes clarifications to leave types, vacation selection and promoted‑position requirements.
Committee members asked questions about the scope of the contract changes and promotional‑position clarifications; Rizzo described the edits mainly as cleanup (for example removing obsolete certification requirements from certain promoted positions). Members moved and seconded approval and the motion passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded.
