Trustees authorize prosecutor to pursue legal action over older section of Wesley Chapel cemetery

Trustee James H. Rice moved that the prosecutor pursue legal remedies to resolve the old-section title; Trustee Durland L. Workman seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. Prosecutor staff said they would coordinate with the county engineer to obtain the necessary survey measurements and to contact the other party’s attorney as part of the process.
The trustees instructed staff to monitor the prosecutor’s actions and to expect further reports. The survey work had already been placed with a surveying firm and the county engineer agreed to assist by providing precise measurements to the prosecutor’s office.
Trustees characterized the action as necessary to clear title, allow maintenance, and ensure proper administration of cemetery lots.
