Trustees press county on berm work, approve Schirtzinger improvements and host SOMA development presentation

Mr. Montgomery and other staff described ongoing patch work and the need for a finishing coat; trustees accepted a county engineer estimate for Schirtzinger and Ravenwood improvements (quoted about $21,697.50 in the minutes) and authorized the county to proceed.
Separately, the board heard a presentation from SOMA Corporation representatives and their attorney, Glen Dugger, about a proposed development on the former Red Roof Inn property along I‑270. About 75 residents attended the presentation and asked questions; developers agreed to return for a follow-up meeting to answer technical queries, and the trustees said they would notify and continue coordination with planning, zoning and the county.
