The board moved, seconded and voted to accept the donation. Brandon (staff member leading the presentation) confirmed the donation amount as $165,000 and noted the district and the construction committee will continue project closeout and verification of items on the construction punch list.
The meeting also addressed attendance: a motion to excuse Board member Alex, who informed the board he was out of town, passed with the vote recorded in the minutes.
Next steps: staff said they will finalize any remaining construction closeout items with MCL and return with recommended contract closeout documentation in a future meeting.
