At the July 9 City Council meeting Councilman Robert Tovmassian reported on recent hospital planning and staffing efforts. He said interviews are being scheduled for a Vice President for Human Resources and Support Services and that hospital leadership is negotiating the purchase of one or two additional vehicles for hospice and home-health staff to improve service capacity.
Tovmassian said hospital officials are working with NPPD to install an electric-vehicle charging station in the upper parking lot. He described the charger as a recruitment tool intended to attract other medical staff to the area by offering on-site charging.
The council record does not include dollar amounts for the planned vehicle purchases or installation costs for the EV charging station. Tovmassian presented the items as operational updates; no formal council action on hospital purchases or the EV charger was recorded in the meeting minutes.
