At the March 23 meeting Mayor Joshua O. Brown recognized the Baldwin County High School Theatre Department for a string of competitive honors.
Mayor Brown presented a Certificate of Achievement noting that the troupe won Best in Show at a district-level competition in Mobile and Best in Show at the Walter Trumbauer State Theatre Festival, and placed in the top 20 out of more than 350 one-act plays at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga. The recognized work was the one-act play The Last Mile, written by theatre teacher and playwright Darren Butler.
