Food bank staff reported 340 households served in the period, with 61% of beneficiaries seniors and children; staff noted a new garden shed and successful community events such as Pig Fest. Annett Eckes said FoodShare issuance rose by about $43,000 year-over-year and the economic support call center handled 12,309 calls in August; the child support unit has 740 open cases and expects to meet federal performance standards.
Clinical Services reported 157 calls to Northwest Connections' crisis line and 16 emergency detentions in 2025 so far (the three-year average is 26). The outpatient waitlist stands at 13 and the CCS waitlist at 5; staff added a billing specialist to Children and Family Services to address workload, and Jessie Cody reported three youths currently in out-of-home placement.
Aging and Disability Services staff reported that Medicare open enrollment begins Oct. 15, ADRC phone calls are down about 10 percent, caregiver appreciation nominations are open, and there are 30 county placements for the year. Several upcoming committee meeting dates were also announced.
