The Norridgewock TIF Committee opened its meeting, elected John Lynch as chair and Diana as vice chair, and approved minutes from the Feb. 9 meeting.
Staff reviewed a recently adopted ethics ordinance that requires committee members to disclose potential conflicts of interest when awarding funds and explained how recusals and disclosures will be handled. Committee members discussed practical examples of disclosure and the committee’s obligation to call out conflicts when they arise.
Staff also updated the group on a sidewalk rehabilitation and streetscape project (sidewalk and decorative lighting), noting the town’s share and coordination with an adjacent Group Two Main Street project; staff said project estimates could reach roughly $600,000 by completion. Committee members discussed timing and the importance of coordinating sidewalk work with planned downtown construction activity.
Two committee terms were noted as expiring; at least one member volunteered to be reappointed and staff said they had received a volunteer application (Kevin Opera) to fill a one-year vacancy. With no further business the committee adjourned.
