Board President Sue Anne Martin called the Tecumseh Local Board of Education’s special meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Aug. 19 in the Arrow Conference Room at Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle.
The board moved quickly to executive session. “To recess into Executive Session to consider the compensation of a public employee or official,” moved Mrs. Clark, a board member; Mr. Diller, a board member, seconded the motion. A roll-call vote recorded ayes from Members Clark, Diller, Mills, Stafford and Martin, and the motion carried 5-0.
The board reconvened at 7:10 p.m. and immediately took up adjournment. Mr. Stafford, a board member, moved to adjourn; Mrs. Clark seconded. The roll-call vote again recorded five ayes — Stafford, Clark, Mills, Diller and Martin — and the meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
The special meeting agenda and minutes indicate the executive session’s stated purpose was to consider compensation for a public employee or official. No additional motions, debates, or formal actions were recorded in the minutes beyond the motions to enter executive session and to adjourn.
