Tecumseh Local says suspect arrested after emailed threat; district credits multi‑agency response

Paula Crew informed the board that the district received a threat via email at about 3:15 p.m. the prior day and that law-enforcement officers located and arrested a suspect around 10:30 p.m. "We were on the phone with all kind of people… At one point Brian calls me and he just got off the phone with the FBI," Crew said, describing a fast multi‑agency response.
Brian Dixon, the district safety official, credited an array of partners for the investigation and arrest, including the county sheriff's office, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, the Ohio School Safety Center, statewide terror analysts and the FBI field offices in Cincinnati and Cleveland. "We just continue to monitor all of that… we want to remain vigilant," Dixon said.
Officials said investigators were able to trace social‑media activity tied to the threat; Crew said the suspect had created a Snapchat account at about 2:45 p.m. on the day of the threat and that the account aided investigators. Deputies Dillon and Loney were credited with taking the suspect into custody. Crew said the district sent a ParentSquare message at 10:30 p.m. notifying families that the person was in custody.
The board recessed into executive session to discuss additional, confidential details. District staff declined to share sensitive investigative details in open session and said they would brief trustees in private. Dixon said the district will continue heightened monitoring and encouraged community reporting via "See Something, Say Something."
