Tecumseh Local board unanimously approves personnel, administrative and financial consent calendars

The Tecumseh Local Board of Education on Aug. 7 approved multiple consent calendars covering personnel, administrative items and financial reports in unanimous roll‑call votes.

Personnel actions approved included multiple certified and classified resignations and hires for the 2024–25 school year (salary steps and classes listed in the meeting materials), substitute approvals and supplemental athletic and music appointments. The personnel consent calendar passed on a motion by Mr. Stafford, second by Mr. Diller.

Administrative items included membership in SOITA, annual approval of school bus stops and routes under R.C. §3327.01, vacation carryover for an administrator, and maintenance stipends for two maintenance staff ($6,242 and $4,682) to compensate for weekend water checks. The board also approved administrator contract extensions (multi‑year and one‑year contracts as listed in the packet).

On finance, the board approved June and July financial reports, authorized general‑fund advances to cover temporary negative grant balances (line items and amounts were read into the record), amended estimated resources and appropriations, and accepted donations listed in the packet. The board also approved a FY25 agreement for five school‑based mental‑health therapists at $19,814 each (total $99,070). All motions passed 5–0.

Board President Sue Anne Martin and members thanked staff for summer work preparing for the school year and noted several upcoming events including opening day and parent‑teacher conferences.
