The Ward Planning Commission voted Nov. 24 to approve the preliminary plat for Moon Road Subdivision with a staff‑noted road alignment change.
Staff told the commission the preliminary plat shows the roadway continuing through a narrow strip to create a full loop and to allow the water line to be looped as well; the project will provide two entrance/exit points rather than a single cul‑de‑sac approach. “We’ll go ahead and finish it on through … it’ll be a full loop and we’ll loop the water line as well,” a staff member said.
A commissioner moved to approve the plat with the road change; the motion was seconded and carried.
Why it matters: The change provides an additional point of access and utility continuity for the subdivision, which can affect emergency access and utility service reliability.
Next steps: The developer can proceed with engineering and later construction phases following standard staff review and permitting.
