Trustee George Brewton moved to approve and Trustee Gregory N. Jackson seconded. The motion passed by roll call with affirmative votes from Trustees David R. Dyson, Ernest Maxey Jr., George Brewton, Tiffany S. Robinson, Gregory N. Jackson and Michael Collier Sr.
Robinson Engineering had also briefed the board on grant opportunities and support services, and Mr. Collins offered to assist with grant writing temporarily and said he would submit a resume for board consideration. The board’s action on the grant-writer hire signals a near-term push to secure external funding for roadway and other projects.
