Grantham Group: Cranberry Commons will be 62‑unit, 100% affordable development with lottery set for 2027

Cucchiara said financial closing occurred on Good Friday and construction mobilization has begun; the site is fenced and groundwork is underway. Estimated construction duration is 14 months, with an anticipated opening date of July 1, 2027.
The developer outlined the tenant selection plan: a housing lottery is expected in April 2027, with the application window opening in March 2027 and a prequalification application to be made available online. Cucchiara said local preference will apply to the lottery and that the Grantham Group will manage the lottery process internally. Project outreach is scheduled to start in December 2026 with meetings at Redbrook Meeting House and the Plymouth Town Library; project materials and a prequalification form will be available at www.Cranberry-Commons.com.
Trust members noted outreach and technical assistance opportunities. Kathy Dunn said NeighborWorks representatives had not been reached and staff member Michael Silveira said he would follow up to try to engage them with the Trust for training and one‑on‑one work.
The update did not include a change to any formal approvals recorded by the Trust at this meeting; staff and the developer outlined timelines for public outreach and the lottery process as the next steps.
