At its Sept. 9 meeting the Wallace Village Board approved several operational items, heard a law-enforcement patrol report and administered an oath of office to a new trustee.
Trustee Anna Griffiths moved to approve the bid from gWorks for new water-billing software; Trustee DoAnn McDonald seconded the motion, and the board approved the purchase on a 5–0 vote. The minutes record the vendor name (gWorks) but do not specify contract dollar amounts.
Deputy Quenton Smith provided the law-enforcement update, reporting 43.75 hours of patrol in August. Shawn Sullivan told the board he is securing a grant to enable remote activation of the town siren for inclement weather. The clerk was directed to check with WCNDD about grant opportunities.
