The Crawford City Council approved the Parks board recommendation to install epoxy flooring option #3 from Morford's Building Center in the community building at a cost of $70,660.00. The motion was made by Council President April Grant and seconded by Council Member Christopher Dean; the motion carried.
The council also scheduled a town hall to discuss the pool for Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Building to gather public input on pool operations and related issues.
Several special-designated-liquor (SDL) permits and a street-closure request were retroactively approved for the Tribesman Motorcycle Club Shriners Transportation fundraiser held Aug. 24–25, which included a 50/50 raffle, car and bike show, silent auction and live music; the council approved SDLs for three bars for the event and approved SDLs for upcoming weddings and a tent event at the Old West Trail Rodeo Grounds.
Council approved purchase of a Hustler Super mower for $27,307.00 and authorized bus air-conditioning repairs totaling $1,106.14. The council also approved a city credit card through Security First Bank with a $3,000-per-month spending limit assigned to the City Clerk's position.
Council approved use of Keno funds and city labor/equipment for constructing berms at the pistol range (projected city labor cost $800; gun range to contribute up to $500 for fuel). The council approved a $150 clothing allowance for full-time field employees with reimbursement requiring receipts.
