Denton trustees approve year‑end street certification, audit waiver request, purchases and claims

The Village of Denton Board of Trustees at its Nov. 4 meeting carried a slate of routine fiscal and administrative actions, including a resolution certifying the year-end status of the city street superintendent and a motion to request an audit waiver for FY 2023–24.
The board adopted Resolution 24-11-1 (Year-End Certification of City Street Superintendent) on a motion by Amanda Fangmeier and second by John Juricek. The clerk reported she has begun FY 2023–24 audit work; Fangmeier moved and Doug Rosekrans seconded a request for an audit waiver, which the board carried.
On procurement items, the board approved purchasing tires for the town pickup from Jay’s Oil for $1,215.84 and approved pallet racking for the shop from WinRack for $1,109; both motions were moved by John Juricek and seconded by Amanda Fangmeier and were recorded as carried. The board also approved Claims List A for $61,415.25, Claims List B for $7,560.14, October payroll of $14,234.22, and a transfer of $40,000 from the Keno fund to the General fund; the motions were moved by Juricek and seconded by Fangmeier and carried.
The minutes record outcomes as "carried" but do not include roll-call tallies. No amendments to motions were recorded at the meeting. The board adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
