Treasurer Jody Myers told the Marquette County Property Committee on April 3 that one owner in the Town of Packwaukee paid a delinquent tax parcel that morning, removing it from the county’s tax-deed list. Myers said she expected additional lots might pay prior to the County Board meeting.
On a motion by Supervisor Dave Benson, seconded by Mary Walters, the committee voted to forward the tax-deed list as amended by the Treasurer to the County Board; the motion carried. The committee did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes, only that the motion was approved.
The forwarded list will be reviewed by the County Board at its next meeting; Treasurer Myers indicated some parcels could be removed from the list if owners remit payment before that time. No dollar amounts or parcel identifiers were included in the committee minutes.
