Linda Maloney submitted an application to reserve the gym for a child’s birthday party on Oct. 23, 2015 and provided proof of insurance; Selectman Daniel Staples moved to approve the request and the motion carried 5-0-0.
Separately, the board noted that deposits for adult or for-profit events were $250 but that "other parties" previously had no deposit requirement. By consensus the board agreed a deposit should be required. Selectman Laurie Haynes moved, and Selectman Martha Marchut seconded, to revise the policy to require a $100 refundable deposit for "other parties." The motion passed 5-0-0.
