Board members discussed the precedent for repeated extensions and the possibility that village conditions could change while approvals remained on the books. Richard expressed concern that extensions could “go on forever,” while Helen said she saw no basis to withdraw an approval where the project itself had not changed. The board ultimately voted 4–0 to grant the extension.
The board recorded the decision in the minutes; staff indicated no separate resolution or escrow charge would be issued for the extension and that the extension would be reflected in the online portal and minutes.
Next steps: the applicant will continue to work toward financing and building permits under the extended timeline. The board did not attach new conditions beyond those already in the approval.
