The Staplehurst Village Board recorded several nuisance-property enforcement actions during its Feb. 25 meeting.
Trustee Wilken reported that Mark Greckel provided an estimated cleanup cost of $6,500–$7,000 for the property at 725 B St. The clerk will contact Midwest Towing to remove a vehicle identified on the property as part of enforcement steps.
For 150 South 2nd the clerk said a certified letter will be mailed; if the property owner does not respond within 14 days the sheriff will be asked to deliver notice. The clerk also reported that the sheriff will be notified to deliver notice to the owner of 400 A St.
These enforcement steps were recorded in the clerk report and will be pursued administratively; the board added follow-up items to the March agenda for further action if required.
