Executive Director Jaime Parr briefed the Nebraska State Fair Board on operational follow-ups after the recent fair, reporting that weather affected grounds during the 4-H weekend and that staff observed impacts to areas of the site. Parr said the team will circulate the first three days’ data to board members and that the board still needs to audit final numbers before those figures are finalized.
Parr also listed operational items under ongoing review, including new food vendors and activity in Marketplace 1, and noted coordination matters related to entertainment, livestock and competitive exhibits. The minutes record a note that TD Landing was setting up the week of the meeting and that cancellation insurance was discussed, but the minutes do not provide dollar amounts, vendor names, or the results of any insurance decisions.
Terry Galloway of the 1868 Foundation provided a brief update during the meeting; representatives from the Kansas State Fair were also in attendance and introduced, although individual visitors are not named in the minutes.
