Mamaroneck board approves fee waivers, 2025 fee schedule, EV‑charging IMA and other resolutions in Sept. 17 meeting

The board approved the updated schedule effective Sept. 18, 2025.
- EV chargers (MI3 grant IMA): The board authorized execution of an intermunicipal agreement with Westchester County to cover up to 50% of EV charger installation costs in two town parking lots; Con Edison incentives were described as covering the other half so the chargers come at no net cost to the town. The board authorized the town administrator to execute the IMA.
- Fire district actions: The board convened as the Board of Fire Commissioners for Fire District No. 1, approved certified fire claims totaling $7,003 (largest invoice: overhaul of Scott Air Packs), authorized sale of a 2017 KME fire pumper to the Village of Attica (acknowledging payment sources), and appointed election personnel for a special fire district election on Nov. 18, 2025.
- Realm Monument fee waiver (RILM): The board authorized waiving building permit fees for the Realm Monument (Recognizing Enslaved Africans of Larchmont and Mamaroneck) at the Town Center; inspections will still be required. The town will assume ownership upon satisfactory completion.
- Cable franchise: The board set a public hearing for Oct. 8, 2025 on a proposed cable franchise agreement with Cablevision of Southern Westchester, Inc.
- Donations: The board accepted donations supporting the Food Truck Festival scheduled for Oct. 4, 2025.
The meeting also included several administrative motions (setting special electors' meeting, referring a zoning dimensional amendment to the Planning Board, setting a public hearing on eliminating renewal requirements for a special permit type) and liaison reports on community events, housing vacancies and library programming. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
