John Shepard, senior planner with Marvin Planning, presented an updated draft of the village Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations at the Oct. 2 meeting. Shepard told trustees that he and the Planning Commission have worked on revisions for several months and the board agreed to review and discuss the draft at the next meeting.
Trustees heard a separate land-use inquiry from resident Larry Hudkins, who discussed a potential subdivision at the southwest corner of Northwest 105th Street and McKelvie Road; no permits or applications have been filed. A building permit application for a new home at 250 W 1st Street was tabled for one month.
No Planning Commission recommendations were submitted this month. The board did not take final action on the zoning draft; next steps are review by trustees and further discussion at a subsequent meeting.
