The Village of Manley Board of Trustees met Jan. 9, 2025, and approved the consent agenda and a set of claims, the board said. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Chairman Denise Swenson.
The board unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included the Dec. 12 minutes, confirmations of clerk continuing-education submissions and end-of-year affidavits for job & wage and expense & revenue reports. Trustee Tim Glas made the motion to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Joe Shera seconded it.
Village Clerk Lindsy Cronk reported that water and sewer billing had been brought up to date through December, that 22 water/sewer letters were sent, and that $1,737.24 was deposited to water and $2,941.60 to sewer. Clerk Cronk also noted 18 delinquent accounts and four overpaid accounts in the water/sewer system. Cronk said she worked with Stephanie DeGroot to submit the village's audit waiver request and that required end-of-year publications were posted.
The board reviewed and unanimously approved claims presented by the clerk, which included routine utility and service payments (examples listed in the minutes include Black Hills Energy, Thrasher Foundation, OPPD, Wirebuilt and several Amazon purchases). Trustee Tim Glas moved to approve the claims and the motion carried.
Chair Swenson summarized an emergency meeting held Dec. 31, 2024, noting the village needed signed contracts to obligate 2020 ARPA funds by Dec. 31; the board approved the emergency meeting minutes as presented. Swenson reported the obligated funds were reported on time and that no further ARPA reporting is necessary until March.
The board adjourned at 8:52 p.m.
