The Board heard from Floyd Johnson on behalf of Joseph Accettura about a proposed 16 by 28 two‑story garage and bedroom addition at 1463 Route 300. The Building Department had sent the applicant to the ZBA because the existing structure predated current setback standards and the proposed addition would increase the nonconformity.
Board members concentrated on the need for an accurate perpendicular offset to the state right‑of‑way; Chairman Darrin Scalzo said the plan as submitted did not show the dimension the Board requires to evaluate the front‑yard setback correctly. Counsel David Donovan noted the application lacked a sealed plan from a professional engineer for the additions.
The Board closed the public hearing after hearing no public comments and voted to defer its determination until the applicant provides the requested stamped dimensions and related information for staff review.
