Town officials told residents that voting is set for next Tuesday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with absentee ballot requests due Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and absentee ballots required to be returned by 8 p.m. on April 28. Applications for town boards and committees were announced as available through the election period.
Board members also asked for election-day volunteers; one or two additional volunteers were still being sought and the board noted volunteers would be provided food.
During the public-comment period resident Dana asked, ‘‘do we have a noise ordinance?’’ A board member replied, ‘‘No, we don't,’’ confirming the town currently has no noise ordinance on the books. Dana said they had received multiple calls about a neighbor’s generator and raised the issue as part of public comment.
No formal action was taken on the noise question at the meeting; the item was raised as a public concern and may be appropriate for follow-up by staff or placement on a future agenda for policy consideration.
