At its April 7 meeting, the Wilton Select Board approved routine consent items including on‑premise liquor license renewals for Salt Marsh Tavern and Cloutier Watton Golf LLC; both motions were approved unanimously with no police issues reported.
The board accepted a $2,500 donation from John Air Bass II to a special reserve fund for the Wilton swimming program; the donation was recorded as coming from a trust. The board also reviewed and authorized submission of AVCOG officer ballots for the 2026–27 officers and completed several appointments: fire department committee members (Michael Parker, Matthew Smith, Chance Sweat) and a Board of Appeals appointment for Peter Robichaud; those votes were unanimous.
In the manager’s report staff said bid documents for a retaining wall are being finalized, a pre‑bid meeting will be held and bids are expected back by mid‑May. Nomination papers for select board seats are available and due April 10; the second half of 2025–26 taxes are due May 1. The planning board has advertised a public hearing for April 22 on zoning ordinance updates (eight of nine sections have edits); staff and board discussed whether warrant articles should be combined or split depending on whether changes are merely formatting/clarifying or substantive.
