Anne Buckley, who identified herself as living in Fox Run, Livingston, used the July 30 public-comment period to ask the Joint City-County Airport Board to add an item to the August agenda to discuss voluntary airport noise-management measures and improving website information.
Buckley said she had emailed the board chair and airport administration on June 29 requesting the agenda item and cited communities such as Driggs, Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming as examples where airports studied voluntary steps to mitigate noise for surrounding residents and preserve the area's natural character.
Chair Hunter Michael Breake acknowledged receipt of Buckley’s email and said staff would make note of the request and add it to the August agenda if there was space. The board did not take action on the substance of the request during the July 30 meeting.
