Members discussed alternatives including city mowing and using internal equipment, but agreed the immediate condition required an outside contractor. Ryan Rhodes and other participants estimated the mowing would take about 20 hours; the $1,300 figure reflected that estimate and the equipment used.
Chair Hunter Michael Breake said the board would adjust the contract if pricing or scope changed and asked to be kept updated. The board directed staff to coordinate with the contractor so the work could proceed quickly.
The board recorded the motion and vote during the July 30 meeting; no additional formal conditions or amendments were announced.
