Mount Kisco board adopts audits, schedules hearings and approves multi-fund bills totaling $4.64 million

The Village of Mount Kisco Board of Trustees on July 15 adopted administrative and scheduling items including audits, hearings and routine approvals.
The Board adopted the 2023 LOSAP audit for the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MKVAC); Mayor J. Michael Cindrich recorded an abstention on that motion. The Board also adopted the 2023 LOSAP audit for the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department (MKVFD) with unanimous 'Aye' votes.
Board members authorized the Village Manager to execute the fifth tolling agreement between the Village and the United States on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The Board scheduled a special meeting for Aug. 5, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and set public hearings on Aug. 5 for proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects and for proposed local laws including a moratorium on battery energy storage systems (local law #3-2024), an amendment to the General Retail (GR) zoning district (local law #1-2024) and Parkland Preservation (local law #2-2024). The Board also scheduled a hearing on Aug. 19 for an amendment to the Research and Development (RDX) zoning district (local law #4-2024).
The Board approved an Italian American Club request for the Feast of San Gennaro (Sept. 6–8) contingent on confirmation of noise, location and insurance, and approved a Mount Kisco Fire Department request to hold a 9/11 memorial ceremony. Trustees voted to pay submitted bills for May and June 2024 across funds, totaling $4,637,905.23. Minutes for June 3 and June 17, 2024 were approved as submitted.
During public comment residents raised neighborhood traffic concerns and offered volunteer services. No ordinances were adopted at the July 15 meeting; two public hearings were adjourned because of notice discrepancies and rescheduled for Aug. 5.
