Mount Kisco trustees approve permits, bills and routine business; minutes approved with one abstention

The Board approved the MKFD "Fired‑Up" 5K for Sept. 15, 2024 and approved car‑wash fundraisers for the Fox Lane Swim Team (Sept. 7) and Fox Lane Football (Aug. 31); the Road Knights car show request was discussed and tabled. The Board asked that interviews be scheduled for two board appointment candidates (Valya Dessaure for the Housing Board and Andre Keating for the Planning Board). Mayor Cindrich also read a letter from Valencia Elliot and noted that the Village will have access to radar equipment to gather speed data for the Complete Streets Study.
Village Manager Edward Brancati reported June water production was about 46.2 million gallons (a daily average of about 1.5 million gallons); Leonard Park wells produced approximately 4.7 million gallons for the month and Byram Lake Reservoir was at roughly 96% capacity at month’s end. Mr. Brancati also read traffic‑related regulatory changes adding a stop sign at Spencer Street and Boltis Street and designating a short no‑parking zone on the east side of Spencer Street. He reminded residents that water bills are due without penalty by Sept. 3, 2024.
The Board approved payment of bills submitted for July and August 2024 totaling $1,881,990.41. Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora moved to approve the July 15 minutes; the motion passed with Trustee Karen B. Schleimer abstaining. The meeting record shows there were no public comments; Mayor Cindrich adjourned the meeting at 9:45 p.m.
