Rich Levy (on the call) and Orleans Pond Coalition representatives said the device will be leased for the season and returned in November; the program will test real‑time alerts for cyanobacteria via an LED system but the pilot team agreed to disable nighttime color coding and operate the light at very low luminosity or off at night. The commission added a condition that staff copy the harbor master and secure any needed mooring approval; members approved the administrative review unanimously.
