Commissioners also promoted a fundraiser for the Anton Arts Center elevator, noting replacement costs in excess of $200,000 and urging community support for upcoming meals, silent auctions and other volunteer-driven fundraisers.
During public comment an unnamed resident thanked local businesses and volunteers for organizing a prom and noted that many Mount Clemens businesses stepped up to provide in-kind support; commissioners acknowledged the contributions and suggested posting recognitions at city hall.
