The Mount Clemens City Commission approved three collective bargaining agreements with the Government Employees Labor Council (GELC): the clerical unit, the public works/DPW unit, and the crew leaders unit. Each agreement covers a three-year term from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028, and administration said the agreements had been reviewed by the city attorney and provided to the mayor and commission for review.
City administration described the negotiations as successfully concluded and noted tentative agreements had been reached. Commissioners thanked staff, HR, and union representatives for collaborative negotiations and ratified each agreement by separate motions and roll call votes.
Administration said copies of the agreements are on file and that the contracts are intended to preserve labor stability and ensure continuity of city services.
