Council discussion, led by Mr. Orridge, described a deed discrepancy: the city’s deeds show the property line ‘‘come up to the creek and no further,’’ while the parcel in question lies on the opposite side of the creek. Mr. Orridge told the council the buyers requested the city quitclaim any interest the municipality might assert in the strip of land.
City legal staff (referred to in the record as the city counselor) confirmed the memorandum had been circulated following the prior month’s meeting. Council moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote at the meeting.
