Hyannis Area Schools board approves $272,361.45 in disbursements; hires coaches and paraeducators

Hyannis Area Schools Board of Education on Nov. 10 approved its consent agenda, accepting minutes from the Oct. 13 meeting and authorizing bills and claims that included $272,361.45 from the general fund, $16,549.83 from the lunch fund, $34,130.76 from the activity fund and $1,146.18 from the special building fund.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Clint Taylor and seconded by Bob Meester; the board recorded unanimous aye votes from Mark Vinton, Clint Taylor, Chris Cover, Kevin Anderson, Bob Meester and Justin Vinton. District administrators noted the disbursement list contained payroll and vendor payments across operating and activity accounts.
The board also accepted the resignation of Krysta Hampton as junior high girls assistant basketball coach. The resignation was approved on a motion by Clint Taylor and seconded by Chris Cover, with the same unanimous vote tally recorded.
Following the resignation, the board approved administrative hiring recommendations on a motion by Clint Taylor, seconded by Kevin Anderson. The hires approved were Ashlyn Henderson as junior high girls assistant basketball coach; Jessica Leonard as varsity girls wrestling coach; Chelsea Mansor as a paraeducator; and Sydney Nielson as a part-time paraeducator to transport a student to services. The motion passed unanimously.
The board approved a purchase of $30 gift cards from Sandhill Oil and Panhandle Coop to be used as holiday staff appreciation gifts; that motion was made by Chris Cover and seconded by Bob Meester and passed unanimously. No dollar total for the gift-card purchase beyond the per-card amount was recorded in the minutes.
The board set its next regular meeting for Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM and adjourned at 5:36 PM.
