Madison Township officials presented March 2026 police statistics to Canal Winchester City Council on April 20, and council members thanked the township for its partnership.
Council President Laurie Amick introduced Madison Township representatives, noting Chief Robinson, Assistant Chief Smith, and Trustee Chris Andrews were present. Chief Robinson told the council, “Good evening, everyone. Good to be here. I will be quick,” and summarized the township’s work and willingness to answer questions. Mayor Joseph Steager and council members thanked the township for its presence and partnership.
Chief Robinson noted an uptick in citations and said officers have been working hard; Mayor Steager observed that “the dollars are up a little bit this month, and so are speeding tickets.” Councilmember Will Bennett asked whether any fiscal support was needed for the shared fire truck used at community events; Chief Robinson said the partnership was appreciated and the truck has been used for events and will remain available.
The presentation was recorded on the city’s YouTube channel according to the agenda; no formal action or vote on the presentation was recorded in the minutes.
