The Hyannis Area Schools Board of Education met Oct. 13, 2025, in the high school library and approved the meeting agenda and consent items, including bills and claims, during a 6:00 p.m. session presided over by Board President Justin Vinton.
The board voted to approve the agenda after a motion by Vice President Clint Taylor and a second from Secretary Chris Cover; the vote recorded Justin Vinton, Clint Taylor, Chris Cover, Bob Meester and Mark Vinton as Aye and Kevin Anderson as Absent for that motion. Later the consent agenda passed on a motion by Taylor, seconded by Cover, with all members present voting Aye; the consent agenda included approval of the Sept. 8, 2025 minutes and acceptance of bills and claims for Hyannis Area Schools covering the general fund ($285,808.04), the lunch fund ($19,131.28) and the activity fund ($25,101.80). The detailed list of payees and invoices appears in the meeting record and total disbursements were recorded as $285,808.04.
Administrators delivered a district financial review and reported on progress in a playground fundraising campaign; the presentations were received by the board with no formal action recorded. The board also accepted the resignation of paraprofessional Carrah Fleer on a motion by Taylor and second by Cover; the resignation was approved unanimously by members present.
