Board appoints student member, adopts secondary math program and clears London trip for GHS band

The Greendale School Board unanimously appointed Lily Anderson as the student board member for the term July 20, 2026, through June 30, 2028. After the vote, Anderson introduced herself to the board: “My name is Lily Anderson … I'm really excited for this opportunity,” she said.
The board also approved the recommended adoption of Desmos, Amplify and HMH as the primary math instructional resources for grades 6–12, following a prior committee presentation. The motion carried on a roll call vote.
On international travel, the board authorized the Greendale High School marching band to pursue a proposed trip to perform in the London New Year’s Day parade (2028). Administrators said the itinerary is coordinated by the parade hosts in England and that further meetings with band staff will address fundraising and transportation costs.
All three agenda items were approved by roll call votes; the board asked staff to return with implementation details on curriculum rollout and travel logistics.
