Humboldt IHSS advisory board votes to send advocacy letter opposing proposed state IHSS budget changes

Roll call recorded Mimi Aubrey as absent, Andrew Buschkamp as absent, and affirmative votes from Jack Breazeal, Vivian Deniston, Margaret Lewis, Corbett Petersen and Tim Such.

Staff told the board that IHSS remains one of the largest cost drivers in California’s General Fund and that lawmakers would be considering ways to slow spending growth during May budget revisioning, making the board’s advocacy timely.
