The McLennan County Commissioners Court on May 19 accepted the County Treasurer’s monthly report and investment report for April 2026 and authorized the treasurer to release checks and electronic transfers from the May 18 check run.
County Treasurer’s reports, entered into the record and approved unanimously, showed pooled cash balances across multiple banks and safekeeping accounts, bond proceeds subtotals, and ARPA grant balances recorded in TexPool and Texas Class accounts. The court directed release of May 18 payments after reviewing claim totals; the day’s check runs included 1,199 checks with a grand total of $4,795,040.94.
Why it matters: The treasurer reports provide transparency about county cash positions, grant funds (including ARPA), bond proceeds and fiduciary account balances; authorizing the release of checks is required under the Local Government Code.
What’s next: The treasurer will disburse payments as authorized and the county will continue to report cash and investment activity in monthly filings.
