The Tremont Select Board unanimously approved renewal applications for on‑premises liquor licenses and Special Amusement Permits for two Tremont restaurants on Monday.
Chair Jamie Thurlow opened separate public hearings for Archie’s Lobster, at 90 Tremont Road, and Seafood Ketch, at 47 Shore Road, allowing members of the public to comment. Following the hearings, Select Board member McKenzie Jewett moved to approve Archie’s Lobster’s application; Howdy Goodwin seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board followed the same process for Seafood Ketch: Jewett moved, Goodwin seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The approvals were recorded after public comment and brief deliberation; the transcript does not record contested objections or vote counts greater than the unanimous outcomes noted above. The board took both votes under the public‑hearing agenda item before moving on to other business.
The Select Board did not place conditions on either license in the meeting record. The chair closed both hearings before taking the respective votes.
