"It would have been a complete, a massive expenditure and a just basically elimination of Tyler," the finance director said, and the committee stopped pursuing that approach. Members instead encouraged staff to work with Tyler to explore tools the county already licenses, including Tyler's financial statement builder and reporting modules, as lower‑cost and better‑integrated alternatives.
Committee members noted implementation complexity and the limited window between financial close and budget season for major projects; staff said they have a meeting scheduled with Tyler representatives to explore options and will report back with recommendations.
