The equity multiplier award is aimed at a small cohort (board members described the group as roughly 12–15 students) at Marriotta Options Academy and will fund targeted actions such as a zero‑period teacher for attendance outreach (including transportation support where needed) and an instructional assistant for individualized academic support. The district said it has posted the draft for county review, received minor feedback through a 'fast pass' process, and scheduled the final approval on the June 16 board agenda.
Next steps: the board opened and closed the required public hearing with no speakers and expects to place the final LCAP on the next regular meeting agenda for adoption. Staff offered to be available to board members for follow‑up questions prior to formal approval.
