The board also adopted a minimum standard for part‑time students, aligning with legal counsel recommendations that a student who enrolls for district activities should be carrying at least a half‑time academic load. In athletics policy updates, the committee clarified gender assignments for team participation and noted an intended adjustment to list football as co‑ed where the committee had recommended that change before final posting on the district website.
Board members said the updates were largely shaped by new state guidance and attorney recommendations and that policy language would be adjusted (the football entry) before the approved versions are posted online.
