The Oklahoma County Treasurer presented the annual resale financial statement required by statute, reporting $6,274,641 in excess special revenue funds that the county will declare and distribute in thirds to schools, the city and county general.
The treasurer said the county general’s one‑third share (approximately $2,91,547) represents an increase of $369,459 from the prior year and is the second largest amount the treasurer has seen since 2021. The funds will sit in fund balance at June 30 and be budgeted in September, the treasurer said.
Commissioners approved the resale financial statement filing by voice vote. The treasurer noted this distribution schedule is the standard practice and that the funds are special revenue not needed for the next fiscal year.
