Resident urges speed limit change at West Ash; council to request state safety study

A councilor or public works official said they had recently completed an intersection safety study with District 8 for another location and offered to contact the District 8 lead engineer to request a safety study for West Ash. "I'll reach out to the lead engineer and see if we can't get a safety study done there and see what the state would be willing to do to help us," the official said, adding the city should have results within a week or two.
Next steps: Staff will request a state safety study through District 8 and report back to council; any changes to speed limits or signage on state roads will depend on the state's study and willingness to act.
