Food Service Director Ricardo Cazares reported a routine health inspection of the cafeteria on Aug. 11 resulted in an "E" (Excellent) rating; he told the board such inspections are conducted twice a year and that last year's inspections also received 'E' ratings. Transportation Director Michael Jimenez said the fleet is up to date and that bus evacuation drills will be conducted once students return from Fall Break; he reported two full-time drivers and one part-time driver/maintenance on staff.
Business Manager Elizabeth Ibarra said she is continuing to prepare materials for auditors, who are scheduled to return Oct. 20 to complete the audit process. The board agreed to move the October meeting from Oct. 15 to Oct. 14 to accommodate the AFR submission schedule.
